Dolly Parton Imagination Library

In 2025, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library book program served 1,500 children - ages birth to 5 - with 18,000 books in Etowah County.

Freebie Reads

The Freebie Reads book program provides books for pre-school children. Over 2,000 books were distributed in 2025 to children under six through community outreach and local pediatrician offices.

Kinder Camp

In 2025, Kinder Camp one-day event took place at Duck Springs Elementary school where a mock first day of kindergarten took place for incoming students. We were also able to donate school supplies, books, and community resource information to every kindergartener and their families.

School Readiness Calendars

1,600 were circulated throughout Etowah County last year.

In addition to the programs above, Girlfriend Gala is able to assist in contributing to the following Success By 6 programs":

  • Born Learning Trails: 7 have been installed to-date

  • HOPE (Helping Our Parents Excel): A free parenting class offered weekly

  • Service as executives on the Children’s Policy Council
