Brandy Hyatt

Brandy Hyatt, a Gadsden native, is proud to be serving her first year on the Girlfriend Gala Committee as the co-chair of Decorations with Emily Acray Bade. An avid reader herself, she believes that instilling a love for reading at a young age is paramount to a child’s growth and that is why she wholeheartedly supports the mission of the United Way’s Success by Six and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Brandy is a supporter of a number of community organizations and has served as a member of the Boys and Girls Club Mayor’s Ball Committee, an ambassador for The Chamber of Gadsden/Etowah and a team captain for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. She currently is a member of the Gadsden Public Library’s Blank Page Society and is a supporter of its annual fundraiser, the GPL Prom.

Brandy is a graduate of Jacksonville State University and works as the public relations and marketing specialist at Gadsden State Community College. Responsible for graphic design, event planning and alumni relations, Brandy has been honored for her work by the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. Brandy is married to the most important person in her life, Dave Hyatt, and they are proud dog parents to Fiona “Mischief” Bean, a rescue from the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center in Gadsden.
